ELSNIT

      CREI is a member of the Steering Committee of the Euro-Latin Study Network on Integration and Trade (ELSNIT). This network is sponsored by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and its aim is to create a forum in Europe on integration and trade issues relevant to Latin America and the Caribbean. The main objectives of ELSNIT are to generate research, studies and debate on these issues; draw on the rich European experience; and increase interaction between European and Latin American researchers.

The Steering Committee directs the activities of ELSNIT and, besides CREI, includes:

• Representatives of the Inter-American Development Bank
• The Centre d'Etudes Prospectives et d'Informations Internationales (CEPII), Paris, France
• The Kiel Institute for World Economics, Germany
• The Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies of the European University Institute, Florence, Italy
