The Economic Effects of Globalization

June 16-17, 2006

Conference jointly organized with the Fundación Ramón Areces. The program commitee was formed by Pol Antràs (Harvard) and Jaume Ventura (CREI and UPF). The conference brought together top researchers writing on different aspects of globalization. This allowed for some interesting interactions. For instance, trade economists that study the effects of globalization on product markets could interact with macroeconomists who study the effects of globalization on financial markets. The conference included papers on International Trade, International Macroeconomics and International Political Economy.
