Third Annual Workshop on Global Interdependence

March 28-29, 2008

The program committee was formed by Philippe Bacchetta (Université de Lausanne) and Fernando Broner (CREI and UPF) and the conference was jointly organized by CEPR and CREI. The conference brought together top researchers working on a broad set of topics in international finance and international macroeconomics. The breadth of topics and participant backgrounds resulted in intense and very fruitful exchanges of views. Topics included: international portfolios, foreign direct investment, measuring capital flows and rates of return, exchange-rate pass through, monetary policy in open economies, and the political economy of international financial organizations.
